That Old Familiar Beat

There are many reasons to avoid weddings. The inevitable awkward moments, the pandemic of sappy love songs, being forced to make small talk with people you barely know. However, there is one redeeming quality to attending a wedding. I speak, of course, of the dance.

A wedding allows you to dance to your hearts content free from many of the disadvantages that plague establishments of dance. The many slower songs that are a wedding staple make that getting to know you conversation so much easier. The pauses that tend to pepper such communications are smoothed over and the whole process is surprisingly less painful than one would imagine.
